Tom you pride yourself in a regular season win that meant nothing... congratulations ... is that what you wanted to hear? The other two were actually in the playoffs and were great games. You probably don't know too much about the playoffs in the last three years but they're really fun and really competitive. #correctmeifimwrong They have not been too fun for the Diamondbacks
I believe these three owners beat the same team in the championship series three years in a row! Please correct me if I'm wrong. #buffalobills
Mariners are third all time with 56 regular season wins. And with 15* wins have won more playoff games than any team in league history. Blue Jays 14, Brewers 10, Dodgers 9*, Giants 6, Mets/Tigers 5, Indians/Pirates/Rockies 2, Red Sox, Yankees, Nationals, D-Backs 1, Royals/Reds/White Sox/A's/Rays/Braves 0. Astros/Rangers/Marlins/Angels/Twins/Orioles/Cardinals/Cubs/Padres/Phillies/Expos have never played in the postseason.
*Counting the extra inning games where the 2014 Mariners and 2015 Dodgers won the series in just one game.

Mariners are a quality organization. We'll see if they can return this year for a 4th crack at the championship. Fun fact Brett- i have been to the ship three consecutive years. I've only Been in the league three years. My season has never ended before the last game of the PWBL season. #onlyplayerinpwblhistory #correctmeifimwrong

Albeit a little late to the conversation, figured I would put my two cents in anyway since I am bidding for a managers spot this year knowing (with my current work schedule) I can commit to a full season.
I agree with the rolling of the dice of a team manager drafting a short roster. It's a chance a manager takes in order to get his best offensive players more at bats. I do it almost every year in HVWBL and sometimes it does come back to bite me in the ass (injuries, sickness, vacations, etc.). From what I have seen Brett gets the schedule out for each year well in advance, that way managers/players can know ahead of time when they will need to play if they make the postseason. Also from what I read Brett does allow changes to be made as long as both teams participating agree. Seems pretty fair from my point of view.
To me the big stink here from Tom's point of view is the GSW boys missing playoff dates for other wiffle events. That's their choice. Everyone makes their own choices and the league should not have to implement new rules or make exceptions for that (just my opinion). I may be wrong (again), but what I have seen/read here Brett tries to work around those other events for the most part. I didn't see Fitzgerald, Didio or Robles miss any playoff games (all GSW guys).
The talent, competitiveness, exposure and personalities in this league are top of the line and as unique as I have seen in my wiffle career so far (this will be my 6th year playing overall). For being one of the top leagues I don't understand some of the hostility I see on this forum and at the field occasionally but I suppose it goes with the competitive territory. I hope I can make the ranks of owner this year to not only compete, but as well as coach against some of the best wifflers in not only this area but the country. My goal is to learn, even just one or two new things as a player, while advancing my own competitive streak for this game I have (over the past 6 years) unexpectedly become passionate about.

Kris thanks for that post I appreciate it. Most of the hostility is to get under people's skin because we really only play for bragging rights. It is the whole reason we started keeping stats, handing out awards, writing articles and making videos. I am sure it is a weird vibe to anyone who is new but at the end of the day everyone likes each other and I think that's the main reason we bust balls.

As if he needed more motivation to keep winning.

Lando *Maniscalco in 2012 Jordan Robles...K-Von and Olly in 2014. #petemontanez2013 I know what it is like to play with the Big Boys. There is alot of guys in this group that I have played with that have alot more championships than you.

Ok Tom. We'll see what happens. Your the best talent scout in the league. You found Olly when he wasn't what he was last year. And yes Olly you got really good.
