As you may have read over the summer I am going to treat the League a little bit more like a business this year and with that in mind,
IF YOU WANT TO OWN A TEAM.
1) Send me an email at info@palisadesWBL.com with your mobile number and let me know what team you want to own.
2) I will contact you to arrange payment for the 2016 season. Owners will be required to pay in full ($125) and that will start the process.
3) No later than mid-January I will post a list of those interested in owning and will ask players to sign off on the owners.
4) If no serious objections are raised I will be in touch with the owner for a final run through of what I expect from owners in 2016.
notes; Teams will be awarded on a first come first serve basis with the exception of 2015 teams. In that case 2015 owners will have a 10 day window to retain their team once they are alerted that n new owner has requested their 2015 franchise. There is also a chance that you may pay the $125 and not be awarded a franchise. In that case no money will be refunded with the exception of going into the draft and not getting drafted. If you change your mind, move, go to jail, die, the League is keeping your money.
IF YOU OWN.
1) You and only you will be responsible for fielding your team as scheduled.
2) You must provide a link to your team's hat and jersey (or t-shirt). Last year there were too many blue teams.
3) You and only you will be responsible for having your team in uniform.
4) You will be able to assist the league in the day-to-day.
5) You will vote for award winners, vote on all trades and any rule changes requested during the season.
6) You will participate in two off-season meetings. Guys who live far away can conference call/Facetime or Skype.
7) You will know the rule book.
8) You will make the league aware of game times that don't work for your team, no later than April 10 2016.
9) You or someone from your team will request any schedule change on the message board and only the message board no less than seven days before the game in question.
10) Be aware that if you draft someone who hasn't paid in full that player will sit until he is paid in full.
11) You will be responsible for your team's scoresheet. If it is all fucked up it is on you.
12) You and your team will be responsible for setting up your field when you play early or taking it down when you play late.
13) Any player you draft must play seven games before being sent down to minor league system. Any less than seven games you must pay the player $100.
14) You will be responsible to pay the League $10 for each player you call up from the minor league system.
notes; get the uniforms without following the above protocol and your team's uniform will not be sanctioned for league play. Teams must wear the same hats, shorts, shirts. There will be some leniency if the hats and shorts are extremely similar. There will one game, owner suspensions for teams that habitually violate the uniform code. Again, there will be leniency if a player just forgot it or if the weather is terrible but 2015 was kind of ugly and I intend on fixing the situation. What I mean by assist with the day-to-day, if you write, shoot, produce, call games on the game of the week, excellent. If not, I will see you or someone from your team the week before or after the season to set up or take down the field.
