Some of our greatest plays can be negated by this rule .... I understand what the rule book says that at any time the ball touches the ground a second time it's a hit.... I think the wording should be changed with this rule at the end of the season.... Control was had at all times so it looks like an out but by rule it's a hit......

There was a play during the tigers/twins game 2 in which Bobby made a diving stab at the ball. The ball was never in his possession but it flipped up to Nick Santana standing at second base awaiting the double play flip. Nick proceeded to throw the ball to the net for a double play. I could argue that there was never possession by Bobby negating the double play but I didn't. I immediately have them the DP for two reasons. 1-In baseball it woulda still been a DP. 2-Bc it was a great play & I was not stripping them of that. Moral of the story is...Dodgers be bitch'n bc they lost. If they had won the game this thread never woulda been created. Who cares if the call was wrong. Dodgers been Sandbagg'n since '07. Bout time the rule F'd them. Agagagagagaga!!!! No the Dodgers aren't bitching, I am bitching and for good reason. The Dodgers aren't saying shit, Palisades WBL Commissioner Brett Bevelacqua the foremost authority on the game, is telling you how it is. Of course this thread wouldn't have been here if we won because that would have meant that no one would have made that bullshit call. One more thing Tim just two weeks ago you didn't know what the rule was for a pitcher's unassisted double play. It is amazing how just 14 days later you felt you were qualified to make a call. The rules didn't fuck the Dodgers a lack of ethics and objectivity did. That is sad. For the rest of you guys the next time you need a rule clarified don't come to me. Apparently I don't understand the rules I wrote.

If the Brewers gave up the out because I was 6" outside of the "neighborhood" on a double play, I have to say this play looks like a double play, however, the rules are the rules and that is a prime example of that rule. It's a single.

For those who were present for brewers vs mariners game 1, I demonstrated perfectly how to make a diving grab on a ground ball and get up from my back without placing the ball on the ground.
